Bowsland vs St. Michael’s girls

A fab game by the Year 5/6 girls today. After only 2 training sessions and this being their first competitive performance, they showed great determination and attitude. Bowsland were up against a strong team who have dominated South Glos football for the past few years. Whilst the game ended 10-0 to the opposition, the team were proud of their first performance and are looking forward to the next challenge. Thank you to the family and friends who came to support the girls! Well done Team Bowsland!

On Tuesday Bowsland Green held a football match. Although Tuesday’s match wasn’t a great success, with a score of 11-0 to St Michaels, we had a couple of attacking points that led to two very close shots. The girls worked very hard and made a brilliant effort for a first match.

Although we didn’t win, the best players got good shots but it didn’t go in.

The first half was disappointing because St Michael’s scored 7 goals and we scored 0, but we worked really well together as a team in the second half which went a lot better. With some injuries along the way, we got there and we can’t wait for the next game.

Bowsland vs St Michaels

A great team performance from the Year 5/6 boys today! It was a very exciting first half with both teams having chances but neither team managing to find the back of the net. Bowsland went behind after the ball rolled into the back of their net. But they came back with a well worked team goal, finished by Josh. Bowsland continued to push for the win but at full time it ended 1-1. The game then went to penalties. Reggie made a great save and then Bowsland hit 2 against the woodwork. St Michael’s went away with a 2-0 win on penalties but Bowsland went away with their heads held high.

Thank you to all of those who came to support the boys.
