Lunchbreak Supervisor (LBS) / Reading Assistant (RA)
Bowsland Green Primary School is a friendly and secure school, which puts children and their learning at the centre of all we do.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and committed person to join our team of experienced Lunchtime Supervisors and Reading Assistants. This is a crucial role that supports pupils during a very important time during the school day.
This post has two parts. Firstly, you will be required to assist the children in the dining room and to supervise them in the playground or indoors if wet weather during lunchtime. We are looking for someone who is caring and passionate about children having an active and fulfilling lunchbreak – important for developing strong social relationships and a successful afternoon of learning!
In addition, you will be supporting some of our youngest learners in developing their reading ability assisting them in their overall English development. This work may be conducted in small group or one to one sessions after lunch. You will be part of a team of three and work under the direction of the KS1 leader.
