This tab is designed for pupils who are in self-isolation or quarantine, to ensure that they have access to daily learning.

When would my child need to learn from home?

  • If they have shown symptoms of COVID 19, and are waiting for a test result, but are feeling well enough to complete learning.
  • If a sibling has shown symptoms of COVID 19 and is waiting for a test.
  • If a member of the household has shown symptoms of COVID 19 and is waiting for a test result.
  • If a pupil is in quarantine, following travelling to a foreign country. This absence may be unauthorised, depending on when the travel was booked.

What is the aim of this learning?

  • To ensure that pupils have an opportunity to take part in daily learning in line with the learning being completed in class
  • To maintain learning behaviours and routine for pupil’s who are unable to be in school

Where and how should my child record their learning?

Pupils should upload photos/videos of their learning to their online platform.

Year R/1: On Tapestry

Year 2 – 6: On the child’s portfolio, on Class Dojo.

Please email the office for support with logging onto these platforms.

How will my child know if they have been successful?

Teachers will respond to the learning at the end of the day with one comment to acknowledge their efforts. They will still be teaching the other pupils in their class and will not be able to respond to messages during the school day. If you need to communicate with school, please either call or email.
