Wow! What an amazing World Book Day. Each class has been working hard throughout the week to study an animal poem and then to create a whole class performance for the rest of the school.
It was a pleasure to watch each performance; it was clear to see how well the children have worked together as a class to create their performance. The performances were filmed and they will be uploaded to our website soon- we know you will enjoy watching them.
All children and staff took their reading books into the hall to read together at 11am. This was to participate in a new initiative: Time 4 Reading, which is being launched on World Book Day. It is a year- long celebration of reading involving libraries, schools and local businesses to encourage local residents of all ages to make time for reading.
Jakub, Ellie, Callie, Anais and Ethan, in Year 6, took to Bradley Stoke radio to tell the whole of Bradley Stoke how we were celebrating World Book Day and how much we enjoy reading. Click the link below to listen.
A HUGE thank you to the parents/carers who have emailed us their photos of them reading. It is not too late to send your photos so please continue to send them to us.
Well done Bowsland!
