World Book Day 2017

Our theme for world book day this year was People in our Community – an opportunity to embrace the rich variety of people in our local workforce who help and support us every day in Bradley Stoke!

All the children really enjoyed dressing up and it was great to see what a range of fantastic costumes there were, from dance teachers to flight attendants!

Our day began with an exciting assembly, where we met our special visitors. A child’s author, scout leader and vice-mayor of Bradley Stoke (to name only a few!) kindly volunteered their time to talk to us about what they do. We enjoyed asking questions and finding out more in our class or key stage groups.

We all had a special opportunity to read together as a whole school during the morning. It was lovely to see the children having such a fantastic time sharing their love of books!

Thank you to all our helpers and all the support from parents for costumes! It really made world book day 2017 a unique and memorable experience for all!
