On Friday the 13th October, we celebrated World Maths Day. Across the school, we took part in a problem solving maths lesson, an English lesson with a maths twist and maths in our wider curriculum lessons.
In KS1, the children incorporated shapes into their PE and measuring into their DT and Mantle projects. LKS2 children used the maths skills to multiply quantities in recipes before writing instructions. All of KS2 had the challenge of writing a short story where the first sentence only had one word; the second sentence had two words and so on.
