Our Curriculum Journey

With COHERENCE as one of our key drivers, it was important to use that our Curriculum has a clear journey. It is designed to be taught on a 2 year cycle, to support our mobility and changing year group sizes. We also believe that this allows for the best collaboration for teachers and pupils as well as provide opportunities for key concepts to be recalled and built upon. Each unit has linear links with previous and following units, as well as parallel links between each unit in cycle A and cycle B. In this way, whether you are on cycle A in the first year in phase or the second, you will always be able to make connections and build on prior learning. Our EYFS pupils follow a child-led curriculum that builds specific foundations for this sequence, and so are not included in this document.
